Afghanistan losses to Ireland by six wickets

The Irish cricket team finally managed to break the losing streak against Afghanistan after winning the third One Day International on Sunday.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first at the Greater Noida Sports Complex. Afghanistan lost wickets in quick succession.

The lower middle order helped Afghanistan reach a decent target of 264 in the given 50 overs. Rashid Khan, Gulbudin Naib and Shafaqullah Shafaq managed so score fifties.

Though, Ireland lost its first wicket in the fourth over, but they never look back afterwards. PR Sterling was unlucky to miss his century at 99 while CG Wilson managed to score 85.

The Afghan bowlers, and particularly the fielders failed to leave a mark. They managed to reach the target in the 49th over. The fourth match of the series would be played on Wednesday 22 March.
