A truck drove through a crowded Christmas market in central Berlin on Monday evening, killing 12 people and injuring 48.
Germany's interior minister said it looked like an attack and police has taken one suspect into custody 2km from the scene after eyewitnesses gave police his description. a Polish man was found dead inside truck.
According to German media, Police has confirmed that the suspect is from Pakistan and has entered Germany in February as a refugee.
Probably, the truck had been stolen from a construction site in Poland, German Police said on twitter.
This attack is similar to the one in Nice, France in July this year when a man drove a truck along the beach on Bastille Day, and killed 86 people and the responsibility for which was claimed by Islamic State.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump condemned the attack, and linked it to "Islamist terrorists" before German police officials could say who was responsible.
