Scientists captured a living prehistoric creature on camera.

According to the U.K. Express, researches have been trying for years to capture the underwater creature called the ghost shark or chimaera.

Researchers have said the shark is older than dinosaurs, and was believed to be about 300 million years old.

The ghost shark was found off the coast of Hawaii and California and scientists described the creature as “eerie.”

The male ghost shark carries a sex organ on its head and was caught on camera by accident.
